The photograph on the left is a meager find in the dead sea of photos of recent rockets fired from Gaza into Israel. I did try! It depicts we are told a rocket exploding in Negev on 7th July 2014. The photo on the right we are told is the result of Israeli aerial bombing retaliation in Gaza for that strike –

The site goes heavily into what type of rockets the Palestinians have where they come from, how many they have and how the rockets are used for ‘propaganda purposes. There is no evidence of the apparent carnage they are causing although the site adds ……..

Conclusion: The rocket threat to the Israeli home front has increased since Operation Pillar of Defense

With  that said by the Israelis themselves lets examine this ‘rocket’ thing that has everyone so fired up and supportive of Israel’s carnage..

When you ask the question what damage are the ‘rockets’ from Gaza doing in Israel? You don’t get solid answers.

For example, to the question how many civilians are dead as a result of this fire? The answer is never really stated.

Phan Nguyen posted a fine article on July 14th that provided a table and extensive notes on deaths in Israel from Gaza fired rockets. See here in new window. Notice how the deaths are all military in 2014 and how Israeli Operations commenced before the rocket attacks which appear to be in response to Israeli aggression. No-one has been killed since the Israeli 2012 Pillar of Cloud Offensive, and the people killed during the current offensive number 13 with two of those being killed while at an IDF military post.

Another question is required:

What has been going on to justify the current Israeli onslaught on the people of Gaza. using their “stop the Hamas rockets” defence?

Let’s examine this rocket argument further.
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz on July 8 2014 following the announcement of the Operation Protective Edge, day 1 IDF attacks. see full article here

“Israel launches aerial offensive in Gaza; Israeli forces thwart attack by armed Palestinians who enter Israel from Gaza; rocket explodes in city of Hadera, north of Tel Aviv; Iron Dome intercepts rockets fired toward central Israel.
The Israeli military launched early on Tuesday a series of airstrikes on more than 50 targets in Gaza on Tuesday, dubbing the offensive Operation Protective Edge.
Meanwhile, for the first time since Operation Pillar of Defense in 2012, rocket sirens rang in central Israel. (my emphasis) Iron Dome interceptor missiles were able to shoot down the rockets. However most of the rockets from Gaza targeted southern Israel, with more than 100 projectiles fired. “

From the IDF official blog site today: Under the News and Analysis Tab, ‘Rocket Attacks on Israel from Gaza’
On the reason for the current “Operation”……..
Operation Protective Edge – 2014
On July 7, 2014, the IDF launched Operation Protective Edge in order to restore quiet to the region and stop Hamas terrorism. The single goal of the operation is to stop Hamas’ incessant rocket attacks against Israel’s civilians.
The operation is ongoing, and since the start of the operation over 1000 rockets have been launched at Israel. Of those, 754 have hit Israel and approximately 201 were intercepted by the Iron Dome Missile defense system.
Hamas has fired long range rockets at cities across Israel, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Rockets such as the M-302 – the same missiles confiscated from the KLOS-C weapons seizure – have long range capabilities and endanger the majority if Israel’s population. Rocket sirens have sounded non-stop across Israel, sending civilians running for shelter.
In response to these rocket attacks, the IDF has targeted over 1,474 terror targets using precision attacks to pinpoint terrorists and terror infrastructure while limiting civilian casualties.”

Notice we are only given the number of attacks ……since the start of the operation.”

It seems necessary to speak of ADF ‘precision attacks to pinpoint terrorists…while limiting civilian casualties.’ Their so called precision exposed so competently as farcical by Jonathan Cook see here

The ‘One Cry’ Hamas= terror continues on the site…..
“Hamas has sworn itself to endless war against Israel. Its suicide bombers have targeted buses, schools, restaurants, malls, and more. Its rocket launching squads have fired more than thousands of rockets in the past decade, making life intolerable not only for Israeli communities near the Gaza border, but also in major cities including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Beersheba, Ashdod, and Ashkelon.
The Israel Defense Forces will operate wherever necessary in order to protect the people of Israel.”

When was the last suicide bomb attack in Israel?

On 19th April 2008 three Palestinian suicide bombers broke through the border fence to attack the Kerem Shalom IDF post, (Kerem Shalom lies inside Israel, 3km from the Gazan town of Rafah on the Egyptian border) blowing themselves up and wounding several Israeli soldiers. Hamas claimed responsibility. This is the last recorded completed bombing attempt from Gaza. –

The Guardian recently posted (30th May 2014) that at a West Bank checkpoint.

“Israeli forces have prevented what they say was the first attempted suicide bombing in more than six years, at a West Bank checkpoint south of the Palestinian city of Nablus.

A man, described as being in his 20s, was stopped after arousing suspicion when he tried to approach soldiers at the Tapuah junction checkpoint wearing a heavy coat on a hot day.

After being stopped he admitted he was wearing an explosive belt and allowed himself to be disarmed. It was not clear whether the explosive belt, apparently comprising 12 pipe bombs connected by wires, was a viable device, but police and military spokespeople suggested they had prevented what could have been the first suicide attack in years.

and Robert Tate of the Telegraph told us about the IDF identifying Hamas using animal bomb carriers….

“Hamas militants sent a donkey laden with explosives on a suicide mission in one of the most unconventional tactics yet seen in the fighting in Gaza, the Israeli army has said.

Troops said they were forced to open fire on the animal – blowing it up – as it approached their position in the southern city of Rafah, near the Egyptian border.

The Israeli army had received prior intelligence that militants were going to try to use animals to carry out attacks, according to a press release on the Israeli Defence Forces website.”

Again no photo’s.

On the rockets……(IDF again)
Since 2001, more than 15,200 rockets and mortars, an average of over 3 rocket attacks every single day, have targeted Israel.

Why put the figure since 2001 if there have been only 41 and not from Hamas over the last 20months? HASBARA

Hamas, the ruling entity of the Gaza Strip, is responsible for most of the rocket fire on Israeli population centers. The organization –  which is recognized by the US, UK, EU and Israel as a terrorist group – has been increasing the size and capabilities of its rocket arsenal. In addition, Hamas has turned a blind eye as other terrorist organizations have launched rocket attacks.

IS responsible, IS recognised as a terrorist group…..

“Twice since 2005, the IDF has been forced to launch major operations in response to heavy rocket fire on Israel’s civilians. The most recent, Operation Protective Edge, began after continual and relentless rocket attacks on Israeli cities since the beginning of 2014.

So Hamas whether they fired these rockets or not IS RESPONSIBLE according to Israel. Therefore they are Hamas rockets in the compliant media. Where is the information? what is available is conflicting.

We can see that in Pham’s article (our first external link) the numbers of Hamas rockets during the 20 month break between Israeli Operations of Overkill in Gaza ie since Operation “Pillar of Cloud” ( November 14, 2012–November 21, 2012) that have killed anyone in Israel is ZERO!
So how many ‘rockets’ have fallen on Israel in that time?…………… (IDF SOURCE) looks like about 491 Certainly not the heavy attack scenario touted. Where have they fallen and what damage have they done?

Rocket attack no's IDF Poster
Damage? Can’t see any and surely it would be plastered all over the net?
But this is what they look like!

No-one is safe!

For more context, on the rockets and the IDF comment highlighted above that Hamas as the ruling entity of Gaza is responsible…..Ali Abunimah’s article from the Electronic Intefada on the Jan 2006 Hamas election victory a ‘vote for clarity” explains the Hamas election win, the effect of Israeli Apartheid and Israels resultant fear:

the scale of the victory has been widely termed a “shock.” Several factors explain the dramatic rise of Hamas, including disillusionment and disgust with the corruption, cynicism and lack of strategy of the Fatah faction which has dominated the Palestinian movement for decades and had arrogantly come to view itself as the natural and indisputable leader.
The election result is not entirely surprising, however, and has been foreshadowed by recent events. Take for example the city of Qalqilya in the north of the West Bank. Hemmed in by Israeli settlements and now completely surrounded by a concrete wall, the city’s fifty thousand residents are prisoners in a Israeli-controlled giant ghetto. For years Qalqilya’s city council was controlled by Fatah but after the completion of the wall, voters in last years’ municipal elections awarded every single city council seat to Hamas. The Qalqilya effect has now spread across the occcupied territories, with Hamas reportedly winning virtually all of the seats elected on a geographic basis. Thus Hamas’ success is as much an expression of the determination of Palestinians to resist Israel’s efforts to force their surrender as it is a rejection of Fatah. It reduces the conflict to its most fundamental elements: there is occupation, and there is resistance. (My emphasis)

When Hamas won in Gaza the immediate Israeli response?..……………
The response of the Israeli government, the US and the EU was to demand that Hamas formally recognise Israel’s right to exist and “renounce violence” before they would recognise the new Palestinian government see here

The US plotting thickens………..
In March 2008 The Guardian reported Bush has concocted secret plans to organise an armed overthrow of Hamas in Gaza, reliant on Fatah with he and Condo Rice signing off on the plan to include Mahmoud Abbas. “The Bush administration plan sought to undo the results of elections in the West Bank and Gaza in January 2006 which, to the chagrin of White House and State Department officials, saw Hamas win a majority of seats in the Palestinian legislature.” see here
Ah so that’s why Hamas is the organisation touted as behind everything.

If rockets preceding ‘Operation Protective Edge’ weren’t Hamas who else has the rockets?
The following is a report from IDF intelligence on ‘terrorist organizations’ rocket arsenals.

BBC NEWS Reported, on 10th July see here
Palestinian rocket arsenal
Hamas and other, more radical Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip have built up an arsenal of basic rockets which over the years have steadily increased in range. This is an important factor. None of them are particularly sophisticated.
Most are based upon Soviet-era technology and are artillery rockets that were designed to be fired in large barrages rather than individually. Some were imported through the smuggling tunnels from the Sinai; some are constructed in workshops in the Gaza Strip, though many of these may still depend for key parts on components from Iran or Syria smuggled in through the self-same tunnels or by other methods.

To put it this way the metaphorical tunnel of $US support and slick weaponry is some fat tunnel to Tel Aviv.  Their arsenal is huge, and with the complete lack of support from other Arab states keeping your populace in fear is one way of maintaining the funnel of cash for so called security. The constant visions of running Israelis during awful siren alerts showed not one ‘rocket hit’, but the population was kept alert!

So if the Gaza rockets fear is more of a furphy than a reality worth responding to as a psychopath might with overzealous and callous disregard for civilians women and children what is Israel hiding about its own weapons capacity?

While experts generally agree that Israel possesses nuclear weapons, no such current open source consensus exists on the status of Israel’s offensive chemical or biological weapons programs. Israel also possesses a sizeable arsenal of short- and medium-range ballistic and cruise missiles, and is working towards a multi-layered and comprehensive missile defense capability. Additionally they are believed to have produced “enough weapons-grade plutonium for 100 to 200 nuclear warheads”
And…”Israel plans to expand its naval fleet to include six Dolphin-class diesel-electric submarines, all of which were imported from Germany, and which may be capable of launching nuclear-armed missiles”.

In addition the number of proposed F35 Lockhead Martins (See previous post) should be considered.
And……Israel is not a party to any of the major treaties governing WMD nonproliferation, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), the Missile Technology Control Regime (MTCR), and the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC). It has signed, but not ratified, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC). See site here

Surely this fake Israeli ‘rationale for murder’ and land grabbing has seen its last ‘wash, rinse, shake and hang out’?

Hamas is here, a contested election early next year is to occur, Fatah is in the hands of the US under Mahmoud Abbas and Palestinians will have to decide.

Egypt as any kind of broker in the situation is a mere sham, perpetuated by Americans who think we are all as stupid as they’re internationally dumbed down and propaganda fed general populace. Palestinians in the West Bank have shouted to their previous friends in Egypt “where are you?” The border is under Israeli control, the Egyptian people have been silenced by recent events where Morsi took them places they could not go back to. Sisi is a puppet General …………………..The blood of Palestinians still runs thick and they are used to being ignored by their Arab brothers and to living in the tunnels under their Jewish ‘cousins’ .

The photo below was another find on a BBC site, obviously they struggled to find a realistically concerning rocket image as well! I think I see an ant.
