Why The UN is Waste of Money and an Anachronism

Australia remains the twelfth largest financial contributor to the UN. Although the amount we pay is not available on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade website, Wikipaedia see here sites the following costs to our national budget.

“Australia contributed more than US$87 million in the years 2004 to 2006, with a regular budget of US$22.9 million, peacekeeping costs of approximately US$60 million, and over US$4 million contribution to International Tribunals.”

Below is Resolution 242 of 1967

Just one of the many reasons the UN wastes our time and money on empty words while people die.

  1. Yes would agree and the USA have not contributed anything!? Also there is resolution which is passed every October/November condemning the USA for its blockade on Cuba and passed by about 190 countries with usually the same 3 against. Israel, USA & Marshall Islands? It appears that the Resolutions are there just to gather some dust to further cloud the murky waters of the USA/Israel dilemmas!!

  2. Thanks for your input again Peter..m the breadth of the dust covered “we condemn” and “we request” and “we affirm the necessity of….” documents could be pasted all over the appalling apartheid wall or perhaps Fidel could organise their recycling for more useful purposes.
